Jose Not Josè was introduced to a lot of different musicians and artists throughout the city growing up. From Open Mics to studios he was enamored with the craft of sound. This continued into his collegiate career getting his BFA in Sound Design with a minor in Music Production and Sculpture at the Savannah College of Art and Design. There he added to the knowledge of music with the fundamental teachings of film audio. Jose has experience with a multitude of sound applications such as student films, animations, ads, podcasts, sound art installations and soundscapes. Musically he has songwriting credits, production and is very skilled as an audio mixer. Having worked on live sets, he’s well practiced in live sound as well in the capacity of lights, live mixing, wireless microphone setups and boom pole recording. Working in audio production he has a lot of experience with Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Maschine, FL Studios and more. He has trained with Usama Alnassar since 2015 in the craft of marble sculpting. His sculptures focus on a singular emotion and personify them. His medium is marble and other stones and has done some work with clay. He has had exhibitions New York City, Atlanta, the Appalachians alley area, Tokyo and Italy. He is currently teaching workshops with the Floyd Art Center, instructing students on the craft of marble. His newest project Tutto Passa is his first time blending his mediums into a unique experience for his audience. In addition to these skills he also has done film photography since 2013, learning the medium at After School Matters and continuing with it into his adulthood.
